Use case #06

Video and music with AI: Electric Phantom

A music video made with the first AI video models, edited in Adobe Premiere Pro, with music composed in Steinberg Cubase Pro.

Context

Electric Phantom is my personal artistic project: drawing, music, visual universe. It also serves as a test bench: this is where I try generative AI tools before proposing them on professional projects.

The player loads from youtube-nocookie.com, only if you click.

What I did, step by step

1. Music first

Composition, recording, mixing and mastering in Steinberg Cubase Pro, used for over 20 years: MIDI, virtual instruments, audio processing.

2. Concept and storyboard

The track comes first. Images follow the story and the rhythm, shot by shot, before any generation.

3. Image generation

Sequences produced with Leonardo in 2024, when the first AI video models appeared: many attempts, few keepers, and hard constraints on continuity.

4. Editing

Assembly, grading and pacing in Adobe Premiere Pro. Editing makes up for the continuity flaws AI generation cannot yet avoid.

5. Distribution

Published on YouTube in March 2025 and embedded lightly: thumbnail first, player loaded on click only, cookie-free domain.

Pitfalls and decisions

  • Keeping the same character from shot to shot remains the weak point of these models: write short shots.
  • A clip generated without art direction shows immediately: the tool does not replace intent.
  • A hard-embedded video slows a page down: light facade, player on click.

Outcome

A music video made in 2024 and published in March 2025, a reusable production method, and a clear view of what these tools can and cannot do, useful when a client asks for “AI video”. Want to know more? Get in touch.
