Robot Programmer & Tester

Coming soon. Humanoids are entering the workplace. I am preparing for it: I programmed and tested a humanoid robot in 2010, and I spend my days orchestrating AI, testing and shipping complex systems.

A starting point: Nao, 2010

In 2010 I programmed in Python, scripted and tested the Nao humanoid robot by Aldebaran Robotics: movement, dialogue, sequencing, tuning at every iteration. It is one milestone in an interest in robotics that goes back to childhood.

What comes next: testing humanoids

Humanoids such as Tesla Optimus will need people able to program them, train them and above all test them: scenarios, edge cases, safety, behavior in real environments.

  • Preparing to use AI for humanoids.
  • Testing, acceptance and production rollout of complex systems, with a rollback plan.
  • Knowledge of the body and of movement, useful to judge a gesture, a balance, a trajectory.
  • Broad technical background: sensors, networks, cloud, security.

To be clear: my robotics experience is limited to Nao, in 2010. This activity starts soon, building on what I practice every day: AI, testing, production rollout.
